Marta is a Business Consultant based in Poland. She is with EY organization for 4.5 years where she has done a variety of projects spanning between Strategy, IT projects management, to process improvisation. Marta enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking and likes to spend time with her friends and family.
Can you introduce yourself?
I'm Marta and I'm a graduate from Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw, Poland. I also have my master's degree in Finance & Accounting. I have worked for five years as in Financial Controlling (FP&A) and five years in a tech company before joining EY. My main role in consulting is to promote EY services and EY teams, provide projects and develop my skills. All of this help me to grow in my role and as a person, and to contribute to EY growth. EY team gave me a lot of opportunities to improve my project management and people skills at the clients who I have supported over the course of the past few years.

What attracted you to EY?
Opportunity to work with talented people, in a very diversified international environment, in companies from all possible industries, in many different countries. It is still exciting for me that I do projects with teams from around the world, I visit customers in various locations.
Did you always know you wanted to pursue a career in technology?
Technology is an integral part of our life, whether it’s business or personal life. It supports us in making things faster and more efficient. My project work focuses on number of key areas: project management, finance transition and process improvement. All of those areas have the technology component in common. Technology connects different business areas and people, creates new opportunities.
Do you need to come from a technology background to succeed?
Not really, you need to know what you are good at and try to find a place in the Tech world where you can put your skills and strengths at use.
What do you enjoy the most about your role at EY?
Opportunity to meet a lot of new interesting people from various backgrounds, countries and cultures. Opportunity to make a good use of my skills and opportunity to continuously learn.
How has EY organization helped you to develop in your role?
EY team supports me to use my experience and develop new skills on the projects done for customers located all across the globe, in various industries, working with people from different cultures and from variety of backgrounds.
What advice would you give someone trying to decide whether to begin a career in Technology at EY?
Work in technology isn’t always easy, but as long as you are open minded, eager to explore new ideas and interested in fixing problems- you will always find great opportunities.
